Christmas 2025

Christmas tree lights switch on

The first weekend in December can only mean one thing - it was time to celebrate turning the ligths of the village Christmas tree on.

As always events like this rely on fabulous volunteers:

  • The Wray family put the tree up for us again this year.
  • The Salvation Army played beautifully (as always).
  • Harmston Young Farmers turned on our lights - thanks to Toby for also saying a few words
  • Family and friends of the Parish Council and Clerk helped set up, run and clear up after the event

We can't thank you all enough for donating your time and efforts.

We'd also like to thank the weather - which behaved - phew!

Warming mulled wine was drunk, warm mince pies and slices of yule log were consumed, many carols were sung, lots of lovely donations were given to the Salvation Army (thank you) and neighbours and friends enjoyed catching up and kick starting the festive season.

All in all a lovely evening - our thanks to you all.
