Exciting news...
At the end of last year Harmston Parish Council applied for a grant and were successful. The grant is to buy a new play area bench to replace the well used wooden one currently in use. A circular weather resistant bench has been purchased (similiar to the photo). The design enables pushchair and wheelchairs to access the table with space between the seats. We hope this new design will ensure that everyone can access and use it.
We recieved the bench this week, and works will begin (weather pending) this weekend (14/2/26) to remove the existing bench. Once the old bench has been removed and disposed of, there will be a small period of time before the new bench is installed. Please take care when using the play area whilst the works are being carried out.
