OPEN FORUM – 15 minutes held before meeting commenced.
There were no members of public present.
1/8 APOLOGIES AND REASONS FOR ABSENCE
Councillor Hamilton and Cllr Robertson sent their apologies – which were accepted.
Councillor Cooper and Councillor Pennell sent their apologies.
2/8 DECLARATIONS OF INTEREST ON ANY ITEM ON THE AGENDA

Cllr Barry Smith declared an interest, as he is a member of the Cliff Villages Solar Action Group. It was agreed that this did not have an effect on the meetings proceedings.
3/7 PLANNING APPLICATION – 26/0575/FUL
3.1 Proposed electricity substation comprising the construction of a 400kV Air Insulated Switchgear (AIS) substation and associated works, new access off Heath Lane, Navenby and access road to the substation, provision of four temporary passing places on Heath Lane, drainage, landscaping and BNG, together with overhead line works including the provision of four new towers and associated works comprising the removal of two existing overhead line towers and the termination of overhead lines using termination gantries within the substation. The planning application was discussed to ensure all Councillors understood what was being considered. This is a proposal from the National Grid – not a developer.
3.2 Proposal to submit an objection to 26/0575/FUL
3.2.1 Any additions, or changes to the draft objection, File Name ‘Draft Objection to Navenby Sub Station 260575FUL Rev.1.docx’ The draft was reviewed and no amendments made. It was RESOLVED: That the draft be submitted by the Parish Council onto the planning portal.
3.3 PC to vote on Objection or Support for NKDC Planning Application 26/0575/FUL Councillors discussed that they had received feedback from residents who objected to the planning application. The Councillors have not received any messages of support for the planning application. It was agreed that it was important that feedback from residents was evident in the decision reached by the Parish Council.
It was RESOLVED unanimously: That the Parish Council would submit a response of ‘objection’.
ACTION: Clerk to submit the agreed objection onto the planning portal for 26/0575, T/D: 21.08.26 (Closing date being Sunday 23rd August 2026)
It was RESOLVED unanimously: That alongside a response of ‘objection’ the agreed draft file name ‘Draft Objection to Navenby Sub Station 260575FUL Rev.1.docx’ be submitted.

4/8 DATE OF NEXT MEETING
The next Parish Council Meeting will be held on: Tuesday 15th September 2026, to be held at The Memorial Hall, Harmston.
There being no further agenda matters to discuss the meeting was closed by the Chairman at 8.15pm
